Cerebral Palsy
Today we went to see Dr Mosher at Akron children's for a follow up appointment. We will be going to see her every three months to see how Braxton is doing. She was very impressed with what all he is doing so far. The army crawling is very big for him. She told me she didn't think he would be even attempting to crawl till closer to 18 mths or so. So, we are very proud of our little guy. Good news and bad news. The bad news is that she increased his medicine. And when I mean increase, I mean she doubled it. Which I questioned. I am just not a big person on medicines, unless they are really necessary. She assured me that the meds will only help him in every way relax his muscles so he can do the things that normal babies his age can do. The good news is that now when he stands he is standing more flat footed instead of on his toes. Which could possibly mean - NO Braces. Very exciting!! We are so proud of our little guy.

It is good to question meds and great that you trust your doctor. That is so important.
Has Braxton been diagnosed with CP? If so, I'm sorry, I didn't know. He is very lucky to be in your family with so much love and support and his big brother JD to challenge him.

Jennifer, that is great news about the mobility and doing better than the doctor expected. Our little preemies have surprised everyone. Keep working with him and the CP. You are doing a great job!
