However, there is alot going on with him and coming up. Starting tomorrow he will be getting his braces, which he will need to wear 8 hrs out of the day. We will see how he does with them. I am praying that he doesn't mind them. He will be having his eye surgery here on April 23rd. I am starting to get nervous. I know they do it all the time, but still its my baby. Then on May 13Th he is going to see an Ear specialist at Akron Children's to talk about tubes. My little man has had 4 ear infections w/ in the last 2 months. The pediatrician thinks the original ear infection never cleared up. Then last week from his ear infection he ended up getting pink eye. Which was no fun. That Friday I had to rush him to the Emergency room b/c he had an allergic reaction to his medicine. I am happy to say that as of this Tuesday he is all back to himself.
Now on Wen I had to take him to Akron Children's for a swallow study. We had some concerns about him swallowing his foods instead of chewing and him choking on his juice. We were scared they were going to put him back on baby foods. Which Braxton is such a wonderful eater and eats everything we give him. So, we didn't want this to happen and he was actually ok there. They said he can stay on table food but that we just need to chop them up pretty good. We did find out though that he needs to have a product called simply thick put into any liquids and pureed foods. These drinks are going directly into his respiratory system and into his lungs. This is the reason why he has been getting colds - which have been leading into ear infections. At least we have finally figured it out. I have questioned why he was getting sick for some time now b/c he is not around alot of other kids. At least we now know.
Lastly he will be having Botox and an MRI done on May 26th. The day we get back from vacation. The MRI will tell us alot more about his cerebral palsy.
Please keep Braxton in your prayers over those days and especially next Thursday for his first surgery.

WOW, it's certainly a lot that you are dealing with! Hope the braces go well this weekend! I'll talk to you before surgery next week! Braxton is doing great w/all his words. Charlie is barely saying Mama. And is just not pointing, and playing Peek-a-boo...no clapping...and just kind of starting to wave. Your little budy will be thinking about you Braxton!
From what I have heard and read Botox can do amazing things for kids with CP, I hope Braxton is one of them! Good luck with everything Braxton has coming up!
