Braxton's surgery and follow up

Yesterday, Braxton had his 2nd eye surgery at Akron Children's w/ Dr. Burnstein. His surgery went great!! His recovery was a little rough. They ended up having to give him morphine for his pain. Once they got him calmed down, I was able to go back to recovery and be with him. When I went back he was just whimpering some for his ma-ma. I picked him up and he fell asleep in his arms.

This morning we had Braxton's follow up appointment. I am very excited to say that Dr Burnstein was extremely happy w/ the results. He said that Braxtons eyes look great. He said that if they continue like they are then we will be all done w/ surgeries and no glasses will be needed until he is a teen. He will need glasses then for his astigmatism.

This picture is before surgery. As you can see both of Braxton's eyes were crossing. His eyes would mostly cross just one at a time but every once in a while they would both turn in.

This picture was taking this morning. Its amazing to me how quickly kids can get back to themselves. As you can see neither of his eyes are crossing and they look SO much better.
